So how did I spend my Memorial Day?  Well, besides some office work, I was visiting with two of my favorite farmers, Jerry and Donna at LaCroix Farms in the gorgeous Killbuck Valley.  They will be supplying lettuce and other greens for the CSA+ throughout the season.

Yes, it is as awesome as it sounds.  So Sunday, I woke up and was trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I didn't have much in my house.  In fact, my refrigerator had a hunk of gouda, 2 beers (still left over from Christmas), a dozen eggs, and some spoiled half & half.  Oh, and condiments.

So I opened the freezer.  Lots of frozen beef.  So this is what I whipped up.  (Oh, btw, I never measure.  So what I have below are strictly estimates from what I shook in).

Yes, truthfully this is my first blog entry ever.  Oh, and I'm not using spell check...watch out.

So things are getting pretty exciting around Fresh Fork lately.  If I may be so corny to use food analogies, we've moved beyond the sprouting stage to the actual growing stage.  I'm continually shocked at how many folks have heard about what we are doing.  I have a small speech at the Cuyahoga County Commissioner's office today and  it was uplifting hear a stranger plug Fresh Fork.  Very cool.
