DirectAg is a perishable supply chain solution that creates a universal marketing and logistics platform for small and medium farmers.  It is designed to allow them to more efficiently operate their existing direct market operations or to sell to wholesale buyers.

In short, DirectAg allows farmers to upload their own inventory, add photos and descriptions, and communicate back and forth with customers via a feedback/rating system and messaging tools.  For customers, it is a convenient way to see what is available now, at what price, and to comparison shop among suppliers. 

The real power behind DirectAg is the ability to create local "markets."  Markets are not geographic based; instead, they are a group of one or more suppliers who have clearly defined their "rules" for purchasing their products (uniform across all suppliers).  These include delivery days, order cutoff times, minimum order amounts, delivery surcharges, membership fees, available product categories, and even custom units of sale, just to name a few.
