Summer Share 2010 – Week 11

Watermelon or Blackberries, Chevre, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, Sweet Corn, Eggplant, and More

This week we have a very large and heavy bag!  In fact, so large and heavy that I have to send two trucks to the East Side just to get all the food there!

Due to the size of the watermelons, we will have to spread the watermelons over a two to three week delivery schedule.  Our goal is that all of Thursday’s group gets watermelons this week.  The Friday and Saturday customers will get blackberries.  Next week we’ll switch that up.

Also of note this week is the oven roasted cherry tomatoes offered in the large package.  This is a new product being made exclusively for Fresh Fork by Clark Pope Catering in Cleveland Heights.  He is using fresh cherry tomatoes, fresh garden herbs, olive oil, fig vinegar, and a few secret ingredients to make this tasty “relish.”  This is a great condiment to use on a cheese tray, with crackers, on pizzas, on pasta, in omelets, or even on a burger. I’m very excited about this product.
