Dear Robert,

Yes, I am excited.  I’ve been waiting to offer this package to you all winter.  Tasty, meaty Berkshire pork spareribs, homemade bbq sauce, and frozen sweet corn from this past fall.
We timed this week to also coincide with a big football game coming up.  By giving you the ribs now, anyone wanting to serve them for the Super Bowl has the chance to marinade them, plan your menu around them, or simply get more from Fresh Fork.  We’ll have extra ribs available from the back of the truck this week and next delivery (we’ll offer baby backs on the back of the truck).

The BBQ sauce this week is from Clark Pope Catering.  Many of you became addicted to this in the summer.  It is a tangy barbecue sauce made from Ohio tomatoes.  The sweet corn is from Wholesome Valley Farm in Wilmot, and they spent the better part of September milking corn cobs to get this for us.

This week’s bag also has roasting potatoes, about half red and half yukons.  We also have mixed winter salad greens, organic spelt flour, grassfed stew beef, and Italian sausage!

Here’s all of this week’s bag contents:

Winter CSA Wk 7:

1 slab Berkshire spare ribs, approx 2.5 lbs

1 pint homemade bbq sauce

1 lb stew beef

1 8-oz portion mixed salad greens
